Senate Bill 56 Compliance

On May 1st 2005, the State of Utah passed Senate Bill 56. This new legislation REQUIRES ALL BROKERAGES to provide certain services to their clients. Any listing, including flat fee listings, requires real estate agents to be available to provide advice on offers, negotiations, escrow, and settlement and closing during normal business hours.

With each of our custom packages, the Norton Team fully complies to this law by offering constant support throughout the selling process. We are happy to look over your contracts and agreements, speak to other Realtors, and attend closing and settlement with you.

With the Norton Team Flat Fee Listings (Bronze and Silver), please be aware that the seller is responsible for scheduling showings with buyers and Realtors, completing and signing offers and counteroffers, providing property disclosures, ordering title statement, and arranging settlement and closing with an escrow officer. If at any time you need assistance beyond the basic support we provide, you can upgrade your package to full service at a discounted rate.
